Cwm Ceffyl Texas Longhorn Cattle

We breed Texas Longhorns for conformation, temperment, horn, and color

Above is an example of the type of Texas Longhorn cow we like to breed.  Diamond featues a long body, clean lines, great horn, and a dark rich color.

                         Bull Calves and Steers
Bull calves that are deemed to be bull prospects will be advertised for sale.  Our 2008 crop of calves includes a son of our Cwm Bullpen Coach bull out of a Zhivalgo bred cow.  He's black and white, big for his age, with a great start on his horns.  He's put together right and looks like a good prospect.  More information will be added soon.

Our steers are usually put into our beef program.  Occasionally a particularly gentle one or a very flashy steer with big horns will be offered for sale as a "trophy steer," Ox, or riding steer prospect.  We have one such three year old steer, Cwm Marco,  who likes people, is quite gentle, and is aviailable now.
We focus our breeding program on conformation, temperment, horn size, and color.  Our herd is strongly "Butler" influenced with crosses to other families' blood lines where desirable.  Our herd sire, Bullpen Coach, is a son of Olympia's Coach and grandson of the great bull Coach.  He is growing exceptional horn, with tremendously correct and clean  conformation.

We register breeding stock cattle with the International Texas Longhorn Association

Cows and Heifers
Cows and heifers are available for sale by private treaty.  Call or e-mail for details.  Below is a two year old cow, Cwm Chocolate Truffle, with her fist calf by Renegade (a grandson of "The Shadow.")  The heifer calf, Cwm's Sopresa, is pictured again below.

Above is Cwm's Sopresa.  She will be a good one.

This is Cwm's Speckles.   She is a 2007 heifer with unique color.  She's brindled on the head and neck and tri-colored spotted on the rest of her body.    She looks like she was standing next to the paint factory when it exploded.  Speckles' mother has 60 inch horns with a magnificent Texas Twist to them.  We expect Speckles to be a great cow.
